
Sales reps LOVE sales leads. But I've seen my share of leads provided turning into leads wasted (and, in all honesty, I've done my fair share of the wasting!).
The reason? Sales leads are new life...fresh possibilities...hope renewed. But then reality sets in: You have to follow-up with them. That's right, it's "hard work" time. That's where the problems arise.
The same holds true whether you market to people in person, or via the Internet. It's not just about putting a Google ad up and waiting for the clicks to come. It's all about what happens once they click.
