Does she look like a sales professional? Does she fit the stereotype? Do you think you could out-sell her and bring in more sales leads than this kindly older woman could before she passes away?
I doubt it.
The woman above is Estee Lauder, the cosmetics queen. When she first got started selling her product, she did it herself...and she went out and created her own sales leads.
Persistence, passion and a strong belief in her product fueled her success. And, it brought in a lot of sales lead. Read more about her story here. It's a good one, with a few good lessons (and some inspiration) for anyone involved in selling and sales leads.






Passion for what you are selling and belief in that product/service you are selling is paramount to success. I'm in the insurance industry, and selling on the basis that what you are selling WILL help the prospect is the key. I have heard stories of salespeople who are focused on closing the sale, as opposed to talking to the prospect about a product that will help them, and I know that prospects don't do business with these types. Passion for the product and belief in it works!
