Yesterday when I went to our mailbox at home, I found a business card placed on the outside of the mailbox. It was for a local woman who did housekeeping work. It was a very simple card, white with black printing. Nothing fancy.
I saved it. With a pregnant wife, you never know when you're going to get asked to take over all of the housekeeping chores...in case of emergency, I need a contact for a housekeeper. In the last 24 hours, I've looked at the card two or three times and have saved it for future reference.
It struck me today how effective that was in getting my attention, simply stating the type of business it was and how to get in touch with her, and that I almost never get that type of advertising any more.
My point? Sometimes, when it comes to getting sales leads, something simple like that really stands out. It's about the most inexpensive form of advertising available, but I'll bet she got some calls from people interested in someone to come in and help with housework.
Is there a way that you could make your sales lead process more simple, more effective and less expensive? Think about it.
