I love Google, and I've used their Google Ads frequently for different projects.
My one gripe? The pay-per-click program that results in a lot of clicks...but not many real sales leads.
Google has felt my frustration, obviously. They announced that they are testing a new version of their pay-per-click ad program that is, in effect, a "cost-per-action" ad program.
You will only be charged if the click resulted in a sales lead that ended in a purchase. No firm details have been divulged yet, but this would certainly be an interesting twist on the pay-per-click program that has become the lifeblood to Googles meteoric rise in the online world.
If it works, Google would quell the increasing criticism from companies who advertise, but see false "clicks" show up on their bill.
Stay tuned!
